MILD DAYS RETURN - Cannellini Sardinia style


Mild southwest breezes have pushed out the clouds and brought some warmth back to the beach. The ocean is very calm and with the tide in at midday the swimming is just right. Plenty of sun today for visitors and locals alike. Here is a very quick anytime meal that is good warm or cold.

Dietary Fats: Fat is the most calorie-dense nutrient twice as much as protein and carbs combined. (That is why it tastes good) Fat should be at most just 20% of our daily calorie intake. If you want to get beach- trim extra fat intake is the first thing to watch out for.
Cannellini beans Sardinia Style

Cannellini beans - 1 can 15 oz
Broccoli, fresh florets, bite sized – 1 cup
Sardines - 8 oz - broken up
Black olives stuffed with jalapeno peppers – sliced, 2 oz.
Kosher salt – a pinch
Ginger, powdered – ½ tsp


Put all the ingredients together in a large sauce pot.
As it starts to cook at low temp, sprinkle on a pinch of salt, the ginger and stir.
Cover and cook for 5 minutes

This easy dish can be serve hot or chilled
