WARMER SOUTHERN SUN - Italian Pork chops


The air temp and the humidity will be in the 80's today. But the water will still be in the mid 70's.
The southern breezes have brought back lots of sun to Hollywood Beach and the tide is up for most of the day. The calm ocean makes swimming very easy.

PORK CHOPS ITALIAN STYLE

Pork chops, thick - 4
Garlic,2 cloves - minced
Green bell peppers, 2 - cored and julienned
Olive oil
Kosher salt
Black pepper, fresh ground
Basil, dry - 1 tsp
Dry Vermouth - 3 oz.

Sear very quickly the chops in olive oil in a pan at medium heat. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Lower heat. Add the garlic, basil and green pepper slices. Pour in the dry vermouth. Simmer covered for about ½ hour.
Serve the chops with the peppers all over them.
